A Song Without Music

There is a song I know
One just recently learned
It has no words, nor any notes.
It is a song of feeling and emotions.
It resonates from inside my heart
And vibrates throughout my soul.

I can hear it best
When it’s just you and me
With no one else around
For it gets louder when you’re near
And almost mournful when you’re gone.

It grows longer every day,
With new emotions, and new memories.
Every second I spend with you
Adds minutes I can listen to.

It’s not a song you hear,
More one that you feel
Like the bass beats through your chest
I can feel it ever still.

It leaves a hunger in my being
A hunger just to hold you
So I can feel it ever louder.
